Working with Chakras and Essential Oils

The chakras are seven energy centers spiraling along the core of the body. When aligned, these portals allow life force energy to flow freely, promoting health, intuition, and overall harmony. When the chakras are imbalanced, we see physical, emotional, and mental problems emerge. I have experienced positive outcomes by not self-diagnosing my chakra misalignment but rather by focusing on a different chakra each day of the week based on planetary correspondence, as you can see in the table below.

I have found this helps me have a focus for the day, and I enjoy matching everything for the day. At the beginning of the day, I will focus on the meaning of the chakra and a corresponding essential oil blend I have created to anoint myself for morning meditation. Sometimes I visualize my breath going through the chakras in and out, or I focus on the chakra of the day and chant the mantra or affirmation. I want to talk to you today about my essential oil blends I use to enhance my chakra work and meditation.

Essential oils are the concentrated lifeblood of the botanical world. They possess a unique vibrational frequency that brings the earth’s magic into harmony with your own energy. By anointing specific points on the body with intention, we use these sacred scents to activate, cleanse, and awaken each chakra.

When creating your own anointing blends, always dilute the essential oils safely in a carrier oil such as jojoba or fractionated coconut oil. For a 10 ml glass roller-ball bottle, use 9 ml of carrier oil and the remaining essential oils. The general guideline is 10 to 12 drops for a 10 ml bottle, but you can go up to 20 drops. Higher percentages of the essential oils than this are not recommended due to the risk of irritation. Below are my favorite blends for a 10 ml glass roller ball bottle.
